Workopolis for Small and Rural Hospitals
For many small and rural hospitals the challenges of recruiting health care professionals are unique and they regularly report a lack of applicants to fill vacancies. The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) has partnered with Workopolis, Canada’s largest Internet-based job search engine, to offer small and rural hospitals a discount and preferential advertising options on their website.
Ontario’s hospitals will divided into geographic regions, rather than the OHA regional groupings. Each region will be assigned a profile in the NowHiring section of Workopolis, thereby enabling candidates to more easily locate postings in the regions they are interested in. At present, hospitals posting on Workopolis receive a regular discount of 10%. The OHA is pleased to advise that under this new arrangement, small and rural hospitals will receive a 46% discount. Based on current pricing, the cost of a job posting will drop from $695 to $375.
